Supporting All Aspects of San Clemente Basketball

With an appropriate name representing both the basket-ball shot and the trident wielded by Triton, the Three Point Club is an organization where all members of the San Clemente High School Basketball community – players, coaches, parents, teachers, adminis-trators, local residents and business owners – come together as a support system for the basketball program. The club is involved in just about every aspect of Triton Basket-ball except, of course, coach-ing and playing the games.
Foremost among these initiatives is the financial support the Three Point Club provides to the basketball program through its fundraising efforts. Capistrano Unified School District provides almost no money for athletic programs, nothing more than a small stipend for a couple of the |
program's eight coaches.
For Triton Basketball that means more than $70,000 must be raised to fund program operations for 2015-16. It's such an important part of the Three Point Club's work that there is another page on this website devoted exclusively to fundraising. Click here to go to the fundraising page and see how you can help. But the Three Point Club's work doesn't stop with fund-raising. It provides a wide range of services to the basketball program in order to enhance the players' experience while keeping costs down. Among the efforts in which the Three Point Club is involved are managing the snack bar for all home games, organizing transportation for all away games, coordinating pre-game varsity team meals at |
team parent homes before home games, running the Annual Basketball Awards Banquet, hosting the Annual Summer Barbecue, coordinating the Team Store, providing a team parent for each division, facili- tating game support services such as scorekeeping, statis- tician, photo/video and inter-mission entertainment, and even providing this website.
In 2008, the Three Point Club recognized a need and con-verted an old coach's office into a top-notch varsity team room. Finally, it's important to note there are no membership fees or enrollment forms to be part of the Three Point Club. If you are a supporter of Triton Basketball, you're already part of the club.
